Survey 24 - "How many job boards do you visit when searching for
a job?"
We asked how many job boards people use when they are searching for
a job. Not surprisingly, the majority of jobseekers use more than
5 job boards - that was 44% of the response. 31% of users will use
2 or less job boards when searching for a job and 25% will use between
3 and 5 sites.
It seems people like to have a variety of options when they are
job hunting to ensure they are exposed to the most amount of jobs
possible and increase the chances of them finding a job that is
right for them. It also comes down to personal preference as to
the look, use and feel of the sites - some people may prefer a brightly
coloured site with large icons and text, where as others may prefer
a more professional looking site. What some people like on one site,
others will be turned off by.
